This pair is about to have a rude awakening in their house. They are about to have to SHARE! And not just with each other (which they've gotten better at in the months they've lived together) but, alas, with a human child. Poor kids! Here they were -the center of our lives and they were here FIRST!
We knew it was going to happen. So, we are coaching them for baby's arrival trying to differentiate between baby toys and dog toys, training them not to jump in the pack and play even though Lily physically could, and introducing them to baby blankets and, eventually, even a cd of baby noises to ease their adjustment. Overkill? No way! They're in this family too. Just to make them feel really comfortable and still included, I wanted to give them a visual sign that the baby is their friend so. . .
What do you think? The little one will fit right in, right? :)
